The Retirement Benefit Specialist will be located at the Ardagh North America offices in Fishers, Indiana. The position is responsible for performing a variety of functions associated with onboarding, and providing support for defined contribution, defined benefit, and non-qualified plans. This role works closely with third-party administrators to resolve participant issues.

Responsibilities

Perform daily administration and operation of the company's 401(k) plans, union 401(k) plans and non-qualified retirement plans Completing participant updates and data reviews

    • Respond to retirement benefits questions and correspond with vendors to resolve employee issues
    • Reconcile payroll contributions for company's 401(k) plans
    • Support review of retirement data to the third party administrator and actuary.
    • Assist with required annual audits for 401(k) plans and the corporate audit
    • Assist with federal filings and reporting (5500s, SARs, annual funding notices, summary plan descriptions, etc.) and plan document provisions
    • Coordinates with vendors on developing participant communication strategy for retirement education
    • Assists with regulatory agency audits- i.e. DOL, IRS
    • Prioritize work to meet tight deadlines and multiple touch points
    • Coordinates with actuaries, plan administrators, accountants, and other professionals to provide verified and compiled data for administration of benefits.
    • Assists with open enrollment for retiree insurance benefits.
    • Ensures retirement plans are administered in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
    • Maintains knowledge of legal and regulatory changes, trends, and other developments affecting retirement benefits.
    • Support additional tasks and special projects as required

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster relationships with internal and external partners
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a relevant field; or equivalent work experience required
  • Knowledge/understanding of ERISA, defined contribution plans, defined benefit plans and non-qualified plans
  • 2+ years of experience with retirement plans and/or data analysis experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is required
