Required Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of five years of research experience.

Responsibilities

This position is a managerial position to ensure optimal function of the GCC Biorepository and BRAG-Onc Consortium. The incumbent will have at least 10 years of laboratory experience and be proficient in proper SOP deployment and high-level laboratory function. There will be at minimum 5 direct reports for this manager. The position should ensure that Biorepository operations adhere to CLIA standards and provide optimal clinical laboratory support for clinical trials and translational research efforts. The incumbent must have superlative customer service skills and the ability to ensure optimal workflow, both in quality and communication and contribute to a harmonious lab environment.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative oversight of the GCC Biorepository. Review SOP's, policies, practices and standards to streamline procedures and ensure compliance and industry best practices. Identity possible funding opportunities for the Biorepository.
  • Work with existing members of Brag-Onc to identify areas where improvements could increase numbers of procured specimens. Identify hospitals that could potentially become Brag-Onc members. Meet with the stakeholders and enable discussion about potential collaborations.
  • Expand the chargeable services and organize clinical trials services.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Shift/Salary

Shift: Days/M-F; Work outside of the normal business hours may be required.

Pay Grade: 20

Salary: $55,869/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
