We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills in epidemiologic research to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Daniel Wang, Assistant Professor at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Together, we will conduct epidemiologic analyses to gain insights into the risk factors of cognitive impairment and dementia in prospective cohort studies, such as the Nurses' Health Study.

As a valuable member of our team, you will actively contribute to our ongoing research projects that are focused on the identification of biomarkers for predicting the risk of dementia and the investigation of the impact of healthy lifestyles on cognitive health. If you are interested, you will be the lead author of scientific publications stemming from these projects, thereby showcasing your invaluable contributions.

Furthermore, Dr. Wang's group is at the forefront of multi'omics, including microbiome, metabolomics, and human genetics. While it is not a requirement, we encourage the hired research assistant to explore the incorporation of 'omics data into their analyses. To support your growth and enhance your skills, our group can provide training in bioinformatics and computational biology, should you be interested. Moreover, if you are a student seeking to incorporate this project into your dissertation or thesis, we are more than happy to offer guidance and support.

Qualifications
Qualifications

  • At least one year of research experience in clinical trials or epidemiological studies is required.
  • Programming skills (R, SAS, or Python) are required.
  • Experience with literature reviews and synthesis.
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity, and consistently display solid judgment in a non-supervised setting.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to coordinate the activities of others. Must be able to set priorities and manage staff over a wide range of activities.
