VCA Bal-Coeur Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (or RVT-eligible) to join the team at our AAHA-accredited 4-doctor practice in St. Louis, MO.

At Bal-Coeur we provide routine and advanced medical care, surgery, dentistry and more, in an updated modern facility. We see dogs, cats, and other small animal pet species, and offer boarding and grooming as well.

We are open Monday through Thursday 8am-7pm, Fridays 8am-5pm, Saturday 8am-1pm, closed Sunday.

Our caring team believe in providing personalized care to all of our clients and patients and consider them our extended family. Our hospital has been serving the community since 1978.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician, you will support the team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. We want you to utilize your knowledge and skills to the fullest. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Venipuncture and catheter placement
• Radiology and diagnostics
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Dentistry
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping
