NGHS is currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our MICU in Gainesville.

This is a PRN RN position in our 16-bed MICU.

5 shifts in 6 weeks commitment

flat rate of $43/hr - shift and weekend diffs apply

Northeast Georgia Health System is a regional referral center for the management of the critically ill and the patients we serve include those who have medical, surgical, and neurological conditions.

NGHS is designated as a Level II Trauma Center and currently has two trauma surgeons on staff. Playing a crucial role in the delivery of service to these patients is the nursing care that is delivered in our 16 bed Medical Intensive Care Unit. Our nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:2.

We have an Intensivist program that allows 24/7 access to physicians and advanced practitioners who are specially trained in the management of critically ill patients.

In addition to this supportive environment, we enjoy state-of-the-art clinical technology and use the latest treatments such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and Hypothermic treatment allowing us to provide the most progressive care available.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Associate Nursing degree.

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.

Two-years experience as a professional RN.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree

National certification in clinical specialty, as eligible

Membership in a professional organization

*New graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the RN Residency Program.
