Description:
Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our Food and Nutrition team!

Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm) Occasional Weekend rotation

This person will be responsible for completing nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities include:

  • Delivers individualized nutrition care to patients while performing within the scope of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary care team and participates in Performance Improvement projects.
  • Provides nutrition education for the patients, family, medical and non-medical staff and community.
  • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Saint Francis Healthcare.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required:
  • Eligible for Licensure or Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Delaware.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree OR verification statement from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Requirements is required. Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
  • Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, families and other hospital staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information and situations.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write English with understanding.
