Trinity Health Mid Atlantic is looking for a remote Regional Scheduling Specialist to join our team!

After up to 90 days of on-site training, this role will be remote. Training will take place at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA.
Ongoing, there is a requirement to be on-site as needed for team meetings, trainings, etc.

Under the direction of the Regional Patient Access Call Center Manager, theScheduling Specialist isresponsible for timely and accurate appointment scheduling with expertise in scheduling protocols,registration,insurance requirements/verification, identification of accurate patient responsibilitywith notificationto the patientfor the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Region which includesMercy Fitzgerald, Nazareth Hospital, St. Francis Wilmington and St. Mary Medical Center Langhorne.

The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for pre-registration, scheduling, electronically verifying insurance eligibility and accurately identifying patient financial responsibility. Position handles complex scheduled events, including high dollar testing, associated studies and those with study specific instructions. This is a key position that will begin the overall patient experience and initiates the billing process for any services provided by the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma Required

• At least 1-2 years' experience in a call center required

• Knowledge of up-front collections, insurance verification or pre-registration preferred
