Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Receptionist will be to greet and assist visitors at Bay Cove's administrative headquarters; answer and triage incoming calls to the Bay Cove main number; and assist the Mail Clerk with processing incoming and outgoing mail. The Receptionist will work with Safety Monitors and other building staff to ensure responsive customer service to visitors, vendors, and staff, and to distribute mail efficiently and effectively.

This is a non-exempt position.

Essential Functions of Position:

• Coordinate appropriate greeting, assisting, and directing of on-site visitors.
• Answer calls to the front desk and forward callers and voice messages to the appropriate resource.
• Retrieve and route incoming electronic faxes.
• Provide back-up to the Mail Clerk by performing the following, as needed: 1) sort and distribute incoming staff and client mail, and 2) prepare outgoing mail and packages for pick-up by courier or post office.
• Maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment in the main reception area.
• Provide general maintenance of office furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow and maintain documentation regarding procedures for the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for the Position:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience in a human service environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and work effectively with internal and external parties.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame.
