Position Profile

The Reception/Administrative role will process incoming phone calls and provide general administrative support to our clinical and administrative teams. This includes answering busy, high volume phone calls, transferring the caller to the appropriate department/person and/or answering general patient questions. It will also include navigating our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to find pertinent information to address patient needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provides quality administrative support to the Geriatric Solutions department.
  • Collaborates with other teams within HOV to assist with patient care needs.
  • Manages phone calls, emails, faxes, and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Adheres to all HIPPA guidelines/regulations.
  • Maintains and enhances professional skills.
  • Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct and prioritizes workflow effectively.
  • Assists with all administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum two years multi-line phone and administrative support experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and phone skills to interact with others in a pleasant, helpful, and cooperative manner.
  • Solution driven, creative and resourceful problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills - resolves issues before they escalate.
  • Ability to manage time well and perform assigned duties with attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous medical office/healthcare experience, preferred.
