Responsibilities of the Quality Technician may include but are not limited to:

• Developing the necessary knowledge and skillset to support the MS, Metallography and RM labs
• Covering labs as necessary, including: vacation, call-offs, meetings, training events and emergency coverage as needed
• Coordinating and assisting MS, RM, and Shipping teammates with the collecting/gathering of quality samples
• Aiding in the inspection of material purchased from other facilities as well as help train production teammates to recognize quality issues
• Utilizing effective communication with all departments and a willingness to learn
• With this position you will start in a Quality Technician position learning the duties and responsibilities of this
job but will be expected to bid on open lab positions as they become available and you are qualified.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 months previous experience with industrial product quality inspection
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in steelmaking/heavy industrial environment
  • 6 months experience with optical emission spectroscopy equipment
  • 6 months experience performing mechanical testing

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
