ANDRITZ Fabrics and Rolls is a leading global manufacturer of paper machine clothing.

At the Reutlingen site, Customer bespoke forming fabrics are manufactured with the highest standards of precision and quality in various production areas such as warping, weaving, heat-setting, seaming and finishing.

Purpose Statement
Responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing and quality management improvement activities for Engineered Wear Products Division locations.

Job responsibilities and tasks
• Ensure reporting consistency within the group
• Develop standard processes and procedures that ensure data is accurate and useful
• Develop measurements/ scorecard to help us evaluate the business
• Utilize the data to drive improvements (such as the warranty opportunity in screening)
• Assist all locations in meeting Andritz required policies and guidelines
• Be thoroughly knowledgeable of Andritz Group and PEW QHS policies, procedures and reporting requirements. Enforce compliance within the PEW NA product groups.
• Provide quality management support to the PEW NA product groups with priorities as directed by the VP Operations.
• Establish quality goals,monitor and report Key Performance Indicators
• Manage both internal and external deviations and customer claims
• Manage supplier performance and deviations
• Assist in establishing quality goals
• Identify responsibilities for QHS monitoring and reporting. Maintain a roster these responsibilities.
• Monitor and ensure that reporting responsibilities are fulfilled according to due dates.
• Provide training, as required, on quality management principles and tools
• Keep the VP Operations informed of product group KPIs, progress toward achieving quality goals and other issues relevant to the quality management system.

Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required
• Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical or other Engineering
• 3 - 5 years of experience
• Proven Process development experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
• Proficient in MS Excel, other MS office products and ERP systems
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and professional problem solving skill

Physical and Mental Qualifications
May include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, maneuver within tight spaces, and may require lifting in excess of 25 lbs. Must have visual acuity, manual dexterity, ability to endure long hours, travel by private and/or public transportation, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
