Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector will support the Laser Processing business unit, formerly Spectralytics, and be responsible for performing basic dimensional and visual inspections for various manufacturing processes using various methods and equipment. This position will also complete appropriate quality records within company and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, policies, and procedures.

The schedule for this role is Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm.
Responsibilities

Quality Inspector Position Requirements:

  • Inspection of received materials, components, and assemblies relating to quality, appearance, and performance.
  • Interpret and accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
  • Reporting and isolating/segregation of non-conforming product
  • Use a variety of inspection measurement tools/gages (Micrometer, Caliper, Gage Pins, Indicators, Thread Gages, Profilometer, Optical Comparator, Microscopes)
  • Operate various precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
Qualifications

Quality Inspector Position Requirements:
  • 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with measuring instruments, methods and practices including hand tools and machine devices including CMM and Vision Systems
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work from customer supplied drawings and specifications
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needs
Quality Inspector Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485
  • Quality training/certifications
Physical & Environmental Demands:

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
