Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $100,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of Quality Control, Assurance, and Food Safety across our operations. The ideal candidate will be a flexographic processes expert, adept at maintaining and enhancing equipment and processes to adhere to established quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:


• Process Improvement:


• Assess production process issues and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production and various departments to foster a customer-centric and food safety culture, sustaining best practices.


• Quality Assurance Programs:


• Supervise product testing to ensure procedural accuracy.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs to meet production standards and exceed customer requirements.


• Collaboration and Relationship Building:


• Build strong working relationships with customers and peers.
• Work with cross-functional teams on root cause investigations for both internal and external opportunities.


• System Compliance and Execution:


• Ensure complete execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Systems.
• Collaborate with teams to develop and implement best practice standardization.


• Recommendations and Training:


• Recommend improvements to procedures and processes, contributing to the creation of quality practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure test methods are current and provide training to employees on proper testing procedures, root cause investigation tools, and processes.


• Supplier Collaboration and Customer Feedback:


• Support sites in working with suppliers for raw material and certification compliance.
• Analyze issues reported via customer feedback to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in flexographic packaging.
• Six Sigma experience required (green or black belt certificate) with SPC analysis capabilities.
• GFSI/HACCP experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team and interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization.
