Quality Engineer * Title: * Quality Engineer
* Pay: * $70K-$100K+ Depending on experience
* Location: * Huntington Beach, CA - Onsite

We are a Series B start up Medical Device company in Huntington Beach, CA. Looking to add a talented Quality Engineer with medical device experience to our team. We are manufacturing an implantable, artificial heart and want you to be apart of the magic! In this role you will support all of the quality assurance activities for manufacturing and testing. As well, you will work with the quality engineering team to assist in implementing quality regulations and report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
What You Will Be Doing - Work on daily QA and QC activities: supporting creation, review work, inspect instructions, test protocols, process DCO's
- Develop/review travelers, work instructions, test procedures, reports
- Perform incoming receiving inspection, conduct process inspections
- Review incoming products from vendors/suppliers and identify flaws and issues with quality
- Conduct/support inspection of components (kitting, inventory control)
- Support/conduct root cause and corrective action to improve manufacturing and test processes
- Assist with inventory control of components/products and maintenance of the inventory
- Participate in supplier audits and visits
- Support engineers to resolve supplier quality issues, ensure incoming requirements
- Handle purchase orders and purchase receipt data
- Participate in problem-solving efforts to resolve rejections, corrective actions and receiving issues
- Create/edit/maintain documentation
What You Need for this Position - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent
- 3+ years in professional quality engineering in Class II/III Medical Devices
- Experience in standards: ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, etc.
- Quality Engineering from concept to completion
- Working knowledge of gauges and precision inspection equipment/instruments
