Job Description

Our advanced data collection and analysis techniques enable us to define risk and we work closely with you to manage and mitigate geologic hazards or geotechnical constraints. We deliver clear information for an accurate understanding of soil and engineering properties; this information can provide you with the basis for cost savings in foundation design and long-term infrastructure maintenance.

The Project Engineer will manage and execute simple and moderately complex projects and pursuits. This individual will have technical responsibility for engineering data acquisition, modeling, analysis, recommendations, and design.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk
  • Perform geotechnical work around the process of acquiring, analyzing, engineering, and interpreting complete and high-quality geotechnical data
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct projects with a junior staff of engineers and technicians.
  • Assist senior engineers in the completion of projects and other operational tasks.
  • Develop solutions for clients by putting acquired geotechnical data into context
  • Perform engineering analysis and develop geotechnical design and construction recommendations.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports.
  • Provide geotechnical advice in one or a small number of specialized technical disciplines
  • Prepare accurate invoices and collect fees from clients in a timely manner.
  • Maintain meaningful involvement in professional organizations.

Job Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License in Louisiana is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil and/or geotechnical engineering.
  • Ability to write reports, and business correspondence
  • Ability to present information and ideas, as well as respond to questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer operations, including Microsoft Office and other engineering programs.
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid passport, the ability to travel internationally at times.
