POSITION OVERVIEW:



The Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) is a SAMHSA grant funded program. Its purpose is to enable the Community Behavioral Programs in the Bronx/Manhattan region support, enhance and integrate the services that clients receive through our outpatient clinics. The program effectively meets the needs of children/youth with serious emotional disturbance (SED), adults with serious mental illness (SMI) and individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders.

The position entails program oversight inclusive of staff training, development and revision of systems for program operations and administration, ongoing integration of program-specific policies and procedures, budget planning, integration of health information technology, and community and program staff engagement. The Project Director will develop community outreach strategies & in-reach strategies for current consumers about available services and inform other community-based organizations about the services.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management and oversight of the day-to-day activities related to the CCBHC grant to ensure it meets all criteria for grant
  • Work collaboratively with onsite leadership to optimize program operations and clients' access to services across the continuum of care
  • Develop community outreach strategies & in-reach strategies for current consumers about available services
  • Ensures programmatic compliance with auditing standards and agency policies as well as regulatory bodies
  • Responsible for the fiscal and human resource management related to the operations of the program
  • Manage recruitment, training, and supervision of staff, as well as addressing staff performance-related issues in accordance with salient policies and procedures
  • Assists with the identification, development, implementation, and completion of quality improvement projects and plans to solve problems/issues
  • Represents the programs at external community meetings
  • Has the responsibility for development and adherence to department budget
  • Perform chart reviews and ensure completion of appropriate and timely documentation within EHR
  • Collect, analyze and report data as required by the agency and CCBHC
  • Manage teams on-call duties and ensure 24/7 crisis response availability
  • Manage risk regarding client safety by adhering to all risk management protocols

EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Public Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Public Policy or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in behavioral health
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to assess program needs, increase efficiencies, and build teams
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans with staff members to enhance programming
