Natureof Work
Supportand assist the project management team in assuring timely and profitableproject completion. Assist with schedules, budgets, progress reviews, billings,bids, change orders, submittals, and reports. Maintains job records and files.Interface with subcontractors, owners, vendors, and company personnel tocoordinate efficient completion of a project. Ability to travel occasionallyrequired (typically 10% or less).

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities

  • Create and administer project management documentation that may include submittals, transmittals, change orders, etc.
  • Assist project manager with budgeting, tracking, and projecting job costs
  • Coordinate and communicate with owners, vendors, crews, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to facilitate timely and profitable project completion.
  • Maintain all job records and files; assists with archiving project documentation upon completion of project
  • Develop operations and maintenance manuals, as required.
  • Exercise initiative and perform additional duties as needed to meet the needs of the organization.

Education

  • A minimum of a GED or highschool diploma

Experience

  • Two or more years of related workexperience required
  • Experience working within the building trades(design or construction) preferred; experience working with legal and insuranceconstruction documentation helpful

Scope

  • Responsible forown work only; expenses, and to a large extent results, are closely controlledby work procedures and standards; may make some budgetary recommendations.

Guidelines

  • Works according to guidelines; anychanges must be authorized by superior; may make some guideline suggestions.

PhysicalDemands

  • Physical demandsfor this position are moderate. Typically the employee may sit comfortably todo the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending or carrying ofitems (25-50 pounds) such as plan documents, papers, books, parts, etc. Theremay be times of physicalexertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven or rockysurfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching,climbing or similar activities. The work may require specific but commonphysical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility anddexterity. Requires a good ability to see, hear, and speak.

WorkEnvironment

  • Standard project site environment thatmay include machinery, parts and chemicals. May require protective gear.
