Description: Position Summary:
This Senior Project Architect position is responsible for leading the architecture of applications within the Native Mobile Application Development Business Unit. Example applications include the Gas Emergency Response and Electric Outage Restoration applications. Project activities include collaborating with Product Owners and Requirements Analyst on business requirements, design, documentation and testing of Google Flutter based applications, and coordinating with the Solution Architect to provide tactical direction to development teams under an agile delivery methodology.
Summary of Responsibilities: • Hands-on leadership position developing and delivering a solution that leverages custom software, vendor products and enterprise tools to enable business capabilities in the Native Mobile Application and Employee Experience areas. • Examines existing design documentation, translates requirements and use cases, drives identification of nonfunctional requirements and drives the decomposition of high-level designs into detailed designs. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • This position is ultimately responsible for the development and successful implementation of application code into production. Skill Set Requirements: • Minimum 8 years' experience developing native applications under an agile delivery methodology. • Documented experience leading a team of developers to deliver mobile applications to a large organization. • Proven experience in functional and technical architecture, design and development, testing, and system integration. • Demonstrated experience architecting custom software solutions with multiple integrations to enterprise legacy applications in an agile software delivery environment. • Demonstrated ability to analyze strategic business objectives and align those objectives with technologies and resources to deliver on tactical solutions. • Proven experience with management of AWS technology capabilities (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) • Experience with complimentary automation, container, scripting, orchestration, and testing capabilities (Terraform, Docker, Selenium, Postman). • Integration development experience (IBM MQ, Oracle, Amazon RDS, SQL, MySQL) • Ability to deploy and manage a DevOps CI/CD pipeline (GitLab, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc.). • API development skills (JSON RESTful, XML, SOAP, MVC) • Experience developing native applications in Flutter. • Familiarity with security considerations. Ability to coordinate with a dedicated security team. • Experience working within the utility industry. Familiarity with Gas and Electric Distribution Design, Work Management, SAP or GIS preferred.
