SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified Program/Product Manager for a contract in the Ft Belvoir VA area. The Program/Product Manager acts as the manager and overall point of contact for all the work on the contract. They direct staff and review work products for completeness and adherence to customer requirement. The Program/Product Manager is responsible for the delivery and sustainment of a cloud-based platform as a service.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides communication to management to review project plans, status reports, and deliverables
  • Develops overall project milestones and monitors the execution of the project against planned timelines
  • Directs and reviews program plans, status reports, and deliverables with program director and project teams
  • Provides technical and functional management to one or more project teams for specific projects or sub-tasks
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a Program Manager or Product Manager/Product Owner delivering and sustaining IT systems/applications.
  • Three (3) years' experience implementing Agile methodology.
  • Bachelor 's degree in in Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management, or related field.
  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiry, requires U.S. citizenship.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Knowledge and ability to manage Agile development operations
  • Ability to gather and generate requirements for product evolution based on market analysis and end user (or internal team) interactions.
  • Ability to lead in communicating project readiness. Identify, prioritize and manage key challenges and risks of a given product.
  • Ability to establish a roadmap with cross-functional teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data to make decisions and comfortable gathering it yourself.
  • Ability to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and work with the teams to get products launched.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and maintain relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders and partners
Preferred
  • Technical degree or direct experience in engineering or systems development
  • Master's degree
  • Fuel industry IT project experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
