Job Summary

  • The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Internal Medicine Residency program.
  • Assists the program director and/or the Graduate Medical Education office in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with ACGME/Non-ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • This role functions as a liaison between the Program Director, residents, fellows, the GME Office, participating sites, and other departments within the health system.
  • Provides administrative support for department leadership, calendar management, preparing reports, handling correspondences, reception and answering telephone calls.
  • This person must be knowledgeable about patient care/operational activities at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate.
  • May be required to assist in the start of new GME programs or other GME programs if needed.
