JOB SUMMARY:
Teach certificate level construction technology courses that include electrical, plumbing, blueprint reading, tools/materials, rough framing, job safety, and basic roof framing. Class responsibilities include but are not limited to lecture and lab instruction, monitoring student progress, supervise student projects, curriculum development, attendance, and other specific duties that support student learning and college mission and vision. Instructor will be teaching 15 to 20 inmate/students, at the Arizona State Prison - Eyman Complex. Position is supported and funded through Arizona Department of Corrections, with a consistent and long history of contract renewal. Position is full time - 12 months per year.
Minimum Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Be current in subject area and possess the ability to develop, prepare, and evaluate instructional materials that promote learning, along with the willingness to utilize alternative teaching techniques and instructional technology where appropriate.
SALARY: Entry salary is $58,734.00. Placement above the minimum may be considered up to $69,438 dependent upon education and experience.
