Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

In this role, you will complete studies pertaining to the 179D commercial buildings energy efficiency tax deduction. This position could work out of any of our office locations.

You will collaborate with external firms including Architects, Engineers, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and building owners, as well as a wide range of employees within Eide Bailly.

A typical day as a Professional Engineer on the Fixed Asset team might include the following:

  • Manage and complete multiple 179D projects simultaneously, including pre-qualification, production review and delivery.
  • Travel to client facilities to inspect energy efficient property.
  • Create energy models using Department of Energy and IRS approved software.
  • Produce and oversee production of reports and updates of analysis performed.
  • Work with the fixed asset team, clients and partners to schedule projects and meet client deadlines.
 

Who You Are
  • You are a Professional Engineer and have a minimum of 4 years of experience with 179D.
  • Experience with building energy modeling software (eQUEST, Trane Trace, REM/Rate, etc.)
  • You have strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • You are open to travel (around 10-20% is required) and work at Firm and client locations.
  • You have the ability to interact and communicate effectively to all levels at an organization.
  • You have strong attention to detail and are a multi-tasking master; there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
  • You possess strong project management skills.
  • Experience with the 45L energy efficient home credit is preferred but not required.
  • This role may be located at any of our major metro market locations. 
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.

 

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$105,000.

Benefits for the position will include Medical, Dental, and Vision.

This position could have discretionary bonus potential.
