Overview

***$1,000.00 Sign-On Bonus (Pre-Tax)***

  • $300 paid on your 1st paycheck
  • $200 paid upon successful completion of your introductory period (90 days)
  • $500 paid upon successful completion of 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

Production Trainer Position Summary

Responsible for ensuring training of Production staff is consistent, timely and effective. The Production Trainer will be expected to develop and deploy standardized training materials as well as ensure completed training is effective. The Production Trainer works in conjunction with the Production Supervisors to identify, prioritize and monitor training needs of both new and existing employees. Working with interdepartmental and other cross-functional Best Practice team members will be required. The Production Trainer will also conduct reviews of existing training profiles and develop new Profiles as needed. This position will be based out of our facility located in west Bloomington, Minnesota (55438).

Production Trainer Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop standardized training procedures
  • Train new manufacturing technicians when they are hired
  • Continue training of existing manufacturing technicians and work with ongoing training
  • Support 5S and LEAN training of manufacturing technicians
  • Collaborate on new manufacturing processes prior to DCR submission
  • Review and update employee training profiles
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Production Trainer Requirements/Qualifications
  • Ability to work required hours to support shift. Actual hours worked on a given day may vary in terms of start and end time depending on the needs of the department and/or the business (e.g., meetings, trainings, etc.).
  • Six months training experience required
  • Some college coursework completed
  • Understanding of traceability requirements
  • Knowledgeable in assembly processes
  • Demonstrated success in training others in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in using PLM or ERP systems
  • Knowledge of, and the ability to describe, LEAN Manufacturing Methodologies to others
  • Awareness of workplace safety and OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge or training pertaining to FDA, cGMP and ISO regulations
  • Strong observational skill and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention-to-detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
Production Trainer Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Certificates in related fields or training
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Multi-lingual (English & Khmer)
  • Epicor MES experience
