We have an excellent opportunity for several Production Leads in our Mountaintop, PA  manufacturing facility.  Positions available on 2nd and 3rd shift.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

• Co-direct activities of all bay associates with input from the Production Supervisor.
• Supervise bay in the event of Production Supervisor’s absence.
• Update the bay supervisor hourly on production quantities, safety issues/concerns, quality, throughout and bay layout/organization.
• Report any and all production bottlenecks to the Production Supervisor immediately along with a reasonable solution to the problem(s).
• Answer any associate or production questions that come up throughout the shift.
• Ensure that all areas of the bay report daily shift production quantities at the end of each shift and provide reporting form to production office.
• Create and promote a team atmosphere within each bay.
• Encourage cross training throughout department as well as promote inter-bay cross training.
• Be proactive in resolving Safety, Quality and Production related issues.
• Take an active role in scrap reduction within bay.
• Promote and encourage continuous improvement and the principles of lean manufacturing throughout the entire manufacturing area.
• Ensure all Quality successive checks are being carried out and the successive check boards and forms are completed by the end of each shift.
• Conduct start of shift meetings with all bay/shift associates.
• Continue the mentoring program with all new associates, be aware of their training needs and development plans, and work with mentors to improve the overall training experience for all new associates.
• Become involved in all internal and external training exercises sponsored by the company.
• May perform any job in the department if needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

•  A high school diploma or equivalent is required, some college preferred, along with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive manufacturing line responsibility.  
•  Basic computer skills are required with a familiarity of Microsoft Office Products.
