Overview
Skylark Meats LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a Production Supervisor at our Omaha, Nebraska plant.

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise and coordinate all production procedures making sure all operations are efficient, effective and accurate according to customer specifications:
    • Knowledge of all procedures associated with HACCP.
    • Monitor Quality Control Procedures (correct yields, product specs, correct customer specifications, etc.).
  • Supervise and monitor employee personnel:
    • Absenteeism.
    • Improper behavior.
    • Injuries.
    • Input information with hiring and terminations.
  • Daily completion of production paperwork:
    • SSOPs.
    • Safety training forms.
    • Time Detail from Kronos.
  • Complete orders and notify production scheduler of incomplete orders.
  • Supervise and coordinate with employees to make sure all areas are clean, organized, and in proper operating condition at all times.
  • Responsible for employee welfare and safety.
  • Attend documented training on company procedures.
  • Follow all SQF, HACCP, SSOPs, SOPs, and GMPs policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • 4 years working experience in a further beef or pork processing operation.
  • 3 years supervisory or management experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of GMP's and HACCP procedures.
  • Must have a high math aptitude; be assertive; and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).
  • Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to perform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish (speak, read, and write).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good typing and computer skills.
  • Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team.
