Nordson MEDICAL designs, engineers and manufactures complex devices and components with applications in wound healing, surgical and minimally invasive, fluid management, pulmonology and interventional and structural heart. Our pioneering Advanced Polymers team was the first to manufacture and supply medical balloons to the medical device industry. Nordson MEDICAL works with doctors, start-ups and large medical companies around the world at any point in the product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Enforce compliance to all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures as defined by Nordson's policies, practices and procedures to ensure that regulatory standards are met.
• Ensure that all record keeping and documentation is completed according to established policies, practices and procedures on time.
• Demonstrating outstanding Leadership and manage direct reports effectively to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI), including defining and communicating expectations and goals, monitoring results, coaching, motivating and employee recognition. Lead in a manner that generates a team-oriented environment through performance management.
• Evaluate work environment including facility, equipment, and processes related to safety. Recommend improvements and, upon approval, implement.
• Continuously review methods, procedures, processes, etc. to determine improvements related to quality and cost to increase efficiencies. Upon approval, make recommendations and implement.
• Be responsive & flexible to customer demands.
• Lead the functional production team in achieving a high engagement and high-performance culture.
• Promote safety, quality, and compliance among the team while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.
• Enable a culture of Operational Excellence throughout the production team.
• Ensure all resources are in place to achieve production demands; operators, leads, equipment, line support, space, etc.
• Analyze S&OP (Sales & Operating Plan) requirements and confirm capacity to deliver demands.
• Anticipate requirements and position recourses to meet and exceed customer needs.
• Manage Personnel problems/concerns effectively.
• Evaluate performance of production employees, recommend appropriate salary adjustments, promotions, disciplinary action, terminations and other changes according to established policies, practices and procedures on a timely basis

Education and Experience
• Associates Degree Required/Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• 1-3 years of Lead/Supervisor experience in manufacturing medical product, preferably medical devices

Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Continuous improvement skills
• Experience managing people, problem resolution, conflict management and performance appraisals.
• Strong Computer Application knowledge (Windows, ERP, etc.)
• Outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal
