The "Cross functional Product Development Purchasing Manager" is responsible for guaranteeing the Global coordination between Competence Centre Engineering Team & Innovation (D&P, E&A/Driveline, Innovation) with central purchasing. Acting as the main interface for Purchasing in liaison with Engineering organisation the candidate manages a Team of Specialist/Buyer that is responsible for coordinating Project Management of component development to be utilized cross platform (AG/CE) ensuring to meet expected quality, cost, and timing objectives.

This position is eligible for a flexible hybrid work model and is located in Burr Ridge, IL.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Team, ensuring Project management providing expected results in term of financial, timing and quality.
• Promote Company cultural beliefs to achieve Customer Focused results by driving behaviours to achieve best in class results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Profit.
• Accountable for the cost of purchased parts to ensure program deliverables meet gross margin targets.
• Increase supplier value through R&D, co-design, and innovation.
• Promote effective teamwork with internal customers (Engineering / Platforms) and stakeholders in problem solving to meet Project deliverables.
• Support and drive communication amongst Purchasing and Engineering /Platform Team.
• Attend Projects Program Reviews, assigning owners, coaching the Team in finding solutions and taking responsibility of actions when needed
• Drive the timing development plan and process alignment.

Annual base salary range for this role is $117,000 - $196,900 USD. (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain
• Minimum of 5 years previous experience in purchasing or engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
• Ability to travel Internationally required (maximum 10%)
• Fluent in English
