Description

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team supporting a major government customer on the Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) Task Order.  The USACE RITS contract provides modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Services support the mission needs of USACE's Headquarters (HQs) located in Washington, D.C., nine Divisions and 43 Districts, to include over 1,500 field and area project offices and two data centers that are currently located in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

***This role is 100% REMOTE and can be performed at any location.***

This position reports to the task lead as part of the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for services to a variety of geographically dispersed customers throughout CONUS and OCONUS. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring processes are documented and followed, business requirements are met, and are aligned with technology strategies, industry standards, and best practices in support of the customer.

Essential duties of this position include:

• Responsible for the purchase of hardware, software, critical supplies, and services related to the USACE OCIO/G-6 IM/IT services improvement program.
• Implements and executes purchasing processes, including all necessary authorization and reporting, consistent with supporting an Enterprise environment.
• Supports procurement process by creating and updating Requests to Initiate Purchase (RIPs)/Consents to Purchase (CTPs) IAW government-provided template, completing all Purchase Requisitions, evaluating suppliers and negotiating terms to award Purchase Orders against customer requirements, ensuring equipment and services are delivered in support of schedule and quality standards, following up on purchase orders to ensure adherence to terms and conditions, and initiating actions to resolve supplier problems.
• Ensures the IT systems used in the procurement processes, including the task order management portal that will be used for making purchase requests.
• Ensures that all requests are submitted in a timely manner, with enough time for Government (COR and TPOC) review and concurrence, and that no purchases occur without Government concurrence.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, problem solving and reporting skills; experience in supporting a large, complex IT environment for a Federal/State Government; and an effective communicator and collaborator, capable of working independently in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Education / Certifications / Other:

• High school diploma and two (2) or more years of relevant experience;
• Excellent computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Database (Access/SQL)
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is a plus

Target salary range: $25,001 - $50,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
