Job Description

  • Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of continuous improvement programs and tools and conducting health checks on current installations.
  • Be actively engaged in Lamb Weston Operating Culture (LOC) activities i.e. 5S, Area Ownership, CILs/Centerlines, AMD & Daily Schedule Control (DSC).
  • Covers multiple operator positions on shift, including Peeler, ADR, Cutter Deck, and Fryer.

  • Peeler Operator
    • Monitors and adjusts equipment and raw product flow from receiving into evenflow bins, then into processing to ensure greatest recovery while maintaining product within customer specifications.
    • Monitors and adjusts volume levels and blend rates at evenflow bins.
    • Adjusts belt speeds to ensure consistent flow of raw product to processing lines.
    • Monitors peel loss.
    • Makes necessary adjustments to scrubbers and peelers.

  • ADR Operator
    • Operates and maintains a variety of machines, such as blancher, dryer, sorting and automatic defect removal equipment, additive equipment and fluming systems.
    • Monitors additive levels according to QA specifications.
    • Monitors and records QA attributes such as color, length, waste and defects.
    • Adjusts settings on equipment as needed, according to quality specification levels or as directed.
    • Is responsible for maintaining and keeping all equipment clean and functioning properly.
    • Uses Factory talk panel views for all equipment in the area to adjust settings, monitor equipment, and track equipment trending.
    • Uses Computers to log and track data & for retrieving product specifications.

  • Cutter Deck Operator
    • Fully understands the purpose and operating of the Water knife/ Cutter area
    • Make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates
    • Responsible for the Flume surge tank & Water knives
    • Responsible for checking cut size, monitoring feathering, rebuilding knives, sharpening blades, and sanitation for their work area.

Job Qualifications
  • Must maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must be able to communicate well in English in both written and oral form.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using a calculator.
  • Must be able to work in all environments.
  • Knowledge of the operations for which the applicant is being considered.
  • Must be able to safely use chemicals required for cleaning.
  • Must have basic mechanical ability.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must work safely.
  • Will also be responsible for following company policies and procedures.
