Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Expert in PCB layout design using Mentor Graphics PADS/Dx Designer printed circuit board software ensuring ESD robustness, packaging efficiency, and manufacturability
• Work with the electrical engineers to prepare electrical circuit schematic diagrams and electronic component symbol creation
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of schematic electronic component symbol and PCB layout footprint libraries
• Use AutoCAD to prepare manufacturing drawings and release packages for PCB designs
• Make modifications to existing PCB designs and perform design rule checks (DRC)
• Assembly and soldering of prototype circuit boards and wire harness fabrication
• Works and communicates effectively in a team environment and as an individual contributor
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. The required qualifications are as follows:

• Bachelor's degree in electronics or equivalent with 2 years of PCB design experience or Associates degree in a related field and 5 years of experience in electronic CAD design
• A proficiency in PCB layout using Mentor Graphics PADS/Dx Designer printed circuit board software with knowledge of Altium PCB Design software a plus
• Experience with placement techniques for better ESD\EMC control, matched impedance traces, signal integrity, multilayer design, power planes partitioning, and high voltage spacing per UL61010
• Experience working from schematics, net lists, part lists, and basic description of the board function, constraints, configuration, and arrangement as defined by engineering
• Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and some familiarity with Solidworks
• Generates, verifies, and validates Gerber RS-274X data for PCB designs
• Create, verify, validate, and maintain schematic electronic component symbols and PCB layout footprint libraries representing the physical characteristics of electrical and mechanical components per IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards
