Position Summary:

The Print Solutions Engineer is a highly knowledgeable product strategist who understands end to end print and workflow software in print & mail production environments and can develop BlueCrest print solution configurations that satisfy our clients' requirements. The Solutions Engineer should be adept at collaborating with senior level company personnel as well as with our client IT experts.

Core Responsibilities:

· As a skilled communicator, the Solutions Engineer is able to effectively collaborate with clients to better understand their organization's strategic vision and objectives.

· The Solutions Engineer possesses the necessary skills to design, price and scope projects, and be equally adept at demonstrating how their recommendations will help our clients attain their strategic vision.

· The Solutions Engineer will work with 3rd party partners to develop overall solutions that meet our client's requirements.

· Solutions Engineers work with various technical disciplines and cross-functional groups in a fast-paced environment that requires exceptional technical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

· Install and operator training

Key Relationships:

The role will report to the Manager of Print Solutions Engineers and collaborate with various individuals and teams including, but not limited to:

· Vice President, Global Production Print

· Director, Production Print Product Management

· Solutions Architects

· Solutions Engineers

· Sales

· Service

· Software Solutions

· Purchasing

· Order Fulfillment

· Project Management

· Product Management

· Marketing

· 3rd Party Vendor Partners

Minimum:

· Previous experience working within a technical pre-sales position. A minimum of 5 years' related experience

· Proven business analysis skills, communication skills, executive skills, technical skills, and a deep understanding of industry trends is required.

· Knowledge and experience with Xerox, Ricoh, Canon and/or Kodak Production Class Printing Systems.

· Knowledge and experience with Pitney Bowes/BlueCrest P/I Output Manager, Output Enhancement, Solimar, Ricoh process director or others similar solutions

· Experience designing & scoping comprehensive projects, including but not limited to independently pricing software components as well determining the number of labor hours required to complete complex project.

· A good understating of IT networking, servers, and VM dependencies and requirements

Preferred:

· Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage.

· Ability to install products in hardware, VM, Cloud environment for the purpose of conducting technical demo

· Cloud SaaS offering a plus

· Some scripting is a plus
