*Description:*
* Candidate will be working with a UX team including UX Designers and researchers on a large strategic initiative.
* How does a Researcher role differ from a standard UX Designer
* Researchers dont do design.
* Researchers do UX research that supports and informs the design process.
* Designers work with researchers to understand user needs and do the design work.
*Ideal Background:*
* At least 5 years of UX experience
* Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Architecture, Communications, Computer Science, a related discipline, OR two years of relevant work experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design
* Portfolio of relevant user experience research project deliverables.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences at various levels of our organization.
* Ability to work collaboratively with team and internal clients.
* Experience gathering user research and testing concepts with users to inform design decisions.
* Ability to work with designers and developers to implement new ideas.
*Experience:*
* Healthcare and/or Enterprise Software experience are big pluses.
* Experience with multiple types of research methods (usability testing, heuristic evaluation, interviewing and more).
*Team and Team size:*
* The program will have a large UX team of 6-7 including Researchers and Designers.
*Top Responsibilities:** *
* Collaborate with team members to prioritize, plan and deliver UX research in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
* Advocate for user-centered research and design principles.
* Gather insights and test concepts with users in order to inform design decisions
* Experience with conducting expert reviews and/or heuristic evaluations.
* Communicate and evangelize research results to engineering and business teams
* Demonstrated understanding of UX metrics
* Experience with statistical analysis related to UX research (Sample sizes, confidence intervals, etc)
*Skills/attributes Required:*
* At least 5 years of UX experience
* Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Architecture, Communications, Computer Science, a related discipline, OR five years of relevant work experience.
* Experience gathering user research and testing concepts with users to inform design decisions.
*Skills/attributes Preferred:*
* Experience with enterprise software.
* Experience with medical or healthcare industries.
* Experience in group facilitation, user interviews, heuristic evaluations, task analysis, usability test moderation and card sorting.
* Masters degree or higher in Design, HCI, Psychology, Information Architecture, or related discipline.
*Interview Process:*
* 2-3 rounds of interviews including a portfolio presentation
