SUMMARY

Responsible for developing new methodologies and analysis to ensure up to date customer and profitability data is available to the commercial team at all times. Present data in a user-friendly manner to ensure understanding across all levels of the organization. Understands cargo pricing and capacity management; utilize available data sources to analyze pricing performance by product and market. Assists with the evaluation and implementation of pricing strategies and communication of pricing changes to the commercial team. Manages and maintains customer and vendor contracts and is responsible for maintaining accurate pricing and contract terms in the Amerijet cargo system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following, but not limited to:

• Develops an in-depth understanding of the markets and assists with developing yield and pricing strategies to drive competitive advantages.
• Works together with the Pricing Department focusing on competitive market analysis to determine optimal pricing across the network to ensure prices maximize revenue and profitability for all products and commodities.
• Mines and validates to provide insights into market behavior and the competitive environment.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to illustrate key pricing, customer, and market trends utilizing Excel and PowerBI.
• Ensures all monitored KPIs are reported daily, weekly, and monthly depending on the requirement to ensure that global targets are achieved and communicated to the management in a timely manner.
• Generates customer pricing contracts and ensures that pricing is within company set guidelines to maximize capacity, revenue, and profitability. Is responsible for the accuracy of pricing uploaded to the Amerijet cargo system.
• Communicates effectively pricing actions in the marketplace, enforces pricing and yield policies within all commercial channels to control profitability.
• Support cargo sales with pricing research, questions, or other issues identified. Assists with testing and training efforts for the launch of new systems, tools, and/or processes.
• Assist the Pricing Manager in the Pricing department's day-to-day functioning to generate customer flight schedules-, short- and long-term projects, the repricing of products/services, surveys, transit time analysis, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong communication skills and above average Excel knowledge required. Experience with Database management, PowerBI, Access DB, and SQL programming.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pricing, database management, analytical modeling or any related fields.

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

• Complex problem solving and critical thinking – identify opportunities to improve revenue through improved models, parameter changes, or new methodologies.
• Ability to make independent judgments and decisions while taking ownership of job responsibilities.
