Title: Prepress Technician

As the wine and spirit arm of Multi-Color Corporation, MCC has continued to lead the industry through a commitment to World's Best Premium Wine and Spirit Label Solutions. Located in premium wine producing regions around the world, MCC is proudly supporting the global wine and spirit industries. We are currently seeking a Prepress Technician for our Napa plant.

Responsibilities:

Stepping / Job Assembly
Uses Adobe CC in conjunction with Esko and in-house software to create press-sheet layouts for press. Be able to modify these layouts as needed for any and all production changes.


Color Correcting
Uses Adobe CC in conjunction with GMG and in-house software to perform CMYK + spot color matching and corrections.

Proofing / Label Assembly

Uses Adobe CC in conjunction with Esko and in-house software to create trapped files for production and at the same time create proofs for customers.


Screen making
Uses in-house equipment to make rotary silk-screens and deliver materials to production.


Platemaking
Uses in-house equipment to make offset, flexo and letterpress plates and deliver materials to production.

Preflight
Uses Adobe CC in conjunction with Esko and in-house software to check incoming files for defects and printability.

Job Log Systems
Record time and materials used to use an in-house record keeping system

PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:
·Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing setting
·Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to write and type
·Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb / balance, and reach with hands and arms
·Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 35 pounds
·Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.
·Vision abilities include - close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, ability to adjust focus, ability to view a computer screen for extended periods.
·Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate to loud in manufacturing
·Work flexible/varying schedules and hours as needed
·Work overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
