Who You'll Work With

Job Description: The Data Viz. The architect will play a diverse role in providing leadership and influencing the adoption of technical solutions, strategies, and design patterns across multiple teams. This person will be responsible for solving business problems and building visualizations to demonstrate the opportunities and value to the stakeholders. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on skills in various visualization techniques and tools, data analysis, SQL, and understanding business through data.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with business and technology users to analyze user requirements and define data visualization programs
  • Design informative and interactive data visualizations/models using Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and other Visualization tools
  • Design and Architect Semantic models for OLAP and BI tools to efficiently consume the data with a high degree of self-service capabilities
  • Design the metadata catalog for BI and OLAP semantic layers and work with the Enterprise team to incorporate this into the data catalog
  • Build scalable OLAP and BI solutions leveraging Azure Analysis Services, Power BI Datasets, or At-Scale and other Semantic Solutions
  • Understand business consumption needs and define approaches and solutions to integrate with BI Semantic Layers
  • Evaluate and prove out new tools/capabilities quickly through POCs/POVs and provide readouts to the management teams
  • Drive self-service capabilities with the business, train business teams on new technical capabilities and how to consume the data effectively
  • Must be conversant with Agile methodologies and tools and have a track record of delivering products in a production environment.
What You'll Bring
  • 6+ years of experience with BI solution development and Power BI Datasets, including DAX and data modeling, data mart, and data warehouse architecture
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in building and driving business adoption of OLAP Cubes using SSRS, SSAS (MDX), and Azure Analysis Services Cubes
  • 5+ years of data analysis in SQL, data cleansing and processing in Python and other languages
  • Proficient and experienced in understanding Semantic models, underlying Data lake and data models, and BI DW methodologies
  • Experience in highlighting the trends and relationships, causations, and other relationships through the Visualizations
  • Hands-on experience and familiarity with storage and compute services in Azure, Azure SQL Server, building data processing pipelines, and building reports/cubes on SSRS and SSAS
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, microservices and REST APIs, docker
  • Strong Knowledge of source code management, configuration management, CI/CD, security, and performance.
  • Ability to look ahead to identify opportunities and thrive in a culture of innovation
  • Self-starter who can see the big picture and prioritize your work to make the most significant impact on the business and customer's vision and requirements
  • Experience in building, testing, and deploying code to run on Azure cloud datalake
  • Ability to Lead/nurture/mentor others in the team.
  • A can-do attitude in anticipating and resolving problems to help your team to achieve its goals.
  • Must have experience in Agile development methods
