What You'll Do

As a Power BI Senior Developer at Sogeti you will have the opportunity to:

• Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
• Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives
• Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish
• Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
• Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
• Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
• Analyze current ETL process, define and design new systems
• Data warehouse development and work with SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS
• Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems
• Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements
• SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
• Work with users and team members at all level for performance improvement and suggestions
• Lead data architecture for various layers of DW including data hub, ODS, EDW and Data Marts.
• Partner with key team members (e.g. project managers, business analysts, etc.) to create well-defined solutions that are aligned to the client's IT Strategy and leverage common solutions and services, to meet key project goals.
• Provide input into key aspects of the business case and work effort for both functional & non-functional requirements.
• Assist business analysts and end users across all functional areas in identifying long-term, strategic data needs for the enterprise, defining how the data is related to the business processes, and developing a conceptual and functional model of the data.

Minimum education qualification

• A bachelor's degree in any discipline. MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
The ideal candidate will have:

• 10+ years of experience in the IT industry
• 5+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and visualizations
• Good communication skills. Ability to talk to business stakeholders to understand business requirements and convert them into technical specification.
• A deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices.
• Experience consulting with clients, translating their business problems into practical solutions and selling the POV.
• Knowledge and expertise to help clients with strategic services like business case, data governance and organizational issues.
• Strong architecture design and modeling capabilities Common Competencies
• Experience with DW/BI Architecture, including:
• Data repositories, tools and archiving strategy and processes
• Reporting and information delivery environments, tools and techniques
• Data acquisition, transformation and delivery environments, ETL tools and techniques
• Metadata environment and data dictionary
• MDM
• Data Quality measurement and improvement
• Training approach and sufficiency
• Change management and communication efforts
• Regularly produce and deliver metrics regarding the benefits delivered and costs associated with the DW effort
• Ability to see the big picture and work through details accordingly
