Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power BI/Apps Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Power BI, Power BI Query, and other Power BI components. The candidate will be responsible for planning, building, and deploying reports and dashboards using MS Power BI. They will also be responsible for developing orientation training material, providing dashboard orientation training material, scheduling training sessions, and helping to manage the dashboards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Plan, build and deploy reports and dashboards using MS Power BI.
• Connect data sources and perform data modeling and visualization.
• Configure dashboards.
• Design and build scalable data models.
• Clean and transform data.
• Enable advanced analytic capabilities that provide meaningful business value through easy-to-comprehend data visualizations.
• Develop orientation training material to support users.
• Provide dashboard orientation training material, schedule training sessions and help manage the dashboards.
• Assist with publishing automation policy, briefings, and reports, including drafting documentation, desk guides, presentation templates, and report templates.
• Assist with decision support for status briefings to include visualizations developed from data sources.
• Develop and manage a dashboard data archive.
• Create new reports to present leadership with easy-to-read visualizations of automation staffing/resource requirements, program execution versus the baseline and any number of other reports created from project data files
• Create and baseline various reports associated with automation data using tools such as Microsoft project, MS project Server, MS project Online, MS project and Portfolio Management, MS Power BI, MS Power Query, and MS Power Platform
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of experience and proficiency in Power BI, Power BI Query, and other Power BI components.
• Experience with Windows, SharePoint, MS Project and Office 365 suite of tools.
• Experience with data modeling and visualization and Power BI connectors.
• Ability to promptly respond to ad-hoc requests for data analysis tasks and briefings.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to create and present training material related to dashboards and dashboard operations.

Certifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II

Security Clearance

• DoD Interim Secret / Final Secret clearance is required

Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)

• Hybrid work may be authorized
