Job Summary:

To monitor the capacity of the pool bather load, and log guests using the pool, to ensure guests in the pool area are wearing their face masks unless swimming (due to Covid19). Pool monitors also provide a safe, clean, and fun swimming environment for all.

Reports to / Supervision Received:
Manager: General Manager 2nd Supervisor: Front Desk Manager
Job Expectations:

1. Display a pleasant, professional and guest oriented attitude at all times.

2. Understand the importance of guest communication and satisfaction.

3. Properly track all guests coming to and going from pool area.

4. Account for pool towels signed in and returned.

5. Comply with resort and department codes, policies, procedures and regulations.

6. Consider and understand guests security, privacy & comforts.

7. Be willing to participate in team efforts and communicate with fellow employees.

Essential Functions:

  • Arrive 10 minutes before the shift begins.
  • Unlock the entrance to the pool if opening for the day, or lock up of closing for the night.
  • Check to ensure that all hand sanitizer and spray bottles are filled and there are wipes/cloths for guests use on lounge chairs. as well as trash bin under the phone box.
  • Check the Color, Chemistry, and Clarity of the pool water by using a test strip once during your shift, and noting the results on the log sheet.
  • Complete the opening, mid-day, and closing duties checklist.
  • Clean the lounge chairs if you are opening for the day.
  • Develop and maintain a friendly relationship with members of the pool.
  • Maintain pool cleanliness, safety, and guest relationships by walks around the deck and pool.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent unless currently enrolled
2. Skills Required:
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task

Clipboard, laundry basket, trash bin, caddy, chair, umbrella, table.

Essential Physical Tasks:
(List all physical tasks encountered in performing essential functions.)

Opening and closing gate on pool for guests. Writing down on log sheet names of each guest. Lifting up umbrella and table and bringing them inside the pool area. Carrying chair, caddy, laundry bins inside. Going up and down stairs as needed.
