The Plant Engineer works with team members to identify hazards and solve technical problems by implementing engineering solutions. Supports process safety management efforts and environmental management programs and projects to meet regulatory compliance. Implements exposure reduction solutions, deploys cost efficiency efforts and serves as a technical resource for maintenance, production and plant services departments.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Develop and improve existing process safety management elements (Process Hazard Analysis, Management of change, Pre-Startup Safety Review, etc.).
• Be directly involved with regulatory compliance and reporting.
• Review operations and maintenance processes and standard operating procedures and monitor operations to ensure SOPs are up-to-date and followed. Resolve technical maintenance issues while collaborating with mechanics and department staff.
• Certify as a Lean Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt and run process improvement projects. Lead and participate in problem solving and root cause activities.
• Mentor and assist in developing and training engineering department staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction."
