The Levy Performance Dietitian will provide nutrition education and training, and support to the athletic department at the University, including the: athletes, coaches, dining service associates and managers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing fueling stations, team meals and snacks.
• Collaborate with Levy management and University staff to create a variety of training table menu options for over 500 student athletes.
• Work with the culinary team to ensure recipe compliance, including cost management and portion control during production and service.
• Assist Director of Operations and Executive Chef to ensure financial accountability of overall training table costs.
• Develop and cultivate relationship with University Nutritionist(s)
• Collaborate with University Compass Dietitian to ensure all company initiatives are adhered to.
Required Skills:
• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a Registered Dietitian preferred.
• Experience working as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in an educational setting (education account, school or college campus) and/or working with athletes preferred.
• Experience working with food allergies and special diets required.
• Experience in menu development and recipe analysis preferred.
• Experience leading allergen identification and labeling processes preferred.
• Experience leading sustainability initiatives preferred.
• Strong computer, verbal, writing and presentation skills
• Experience providing group and one on one nutrition education on sports nutrition related topics.
• CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietitian) credential preferred, although not required.
