Job Summary:

The Project Manager will participate in a community-based COVID 19 research project led by a Mass General Hospital research team and funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. The goal of the study is to determine health system interventions that are most effective in achieving the greatest improvement in residential care worker resiliency and reduction in burnout and turnover in congregate care homes. This study includes the Mass General research team and two large community-based, Massachusetts human service providers. The Project Manager will be responsible for data collection and management at Bay Cove Human Services, identifying staff to participate in trainings and implementation of best practices at Bay Cove Human Services group homes, and supervision of the PCORI COVID Research Assistant position.

This is a non-exempt position.

Supervisory Responsibilities: PCORI COVID Research Assistant

Essential Functions of the Position:

• Lead data collection at Bay Cove Human Services on staff data, including payroll, demographics, etc., Bay Cove policies and procedures and any additional data requests from MGH researchers
• Provide data analysis to determine trends and communicate such with leadership
• Manage and organize data, mainly in Excel, for ongoing research requests with high confidentiality and accuracy
• Facilitate the communication and transfer of data to the MGH researchers
• Identify and recruit front-line staff and management staff for training sessions and other groups as formed within the project
• Work with the project team to facilitate enrollment of group homes into the study and the implementation of best practices at the group homes
• Train and supervise the PCORI COVID Research Assistant
• Attend regular workgroup meetings with partner organization and MGH, act as liaison and representation for Bay Cove Human Services to partners
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

Requirements for the Position:

• A Bachelor's degree is required or Master's Degree in related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum three years' experience in human services, quality improvement or research preferred.
• Ability to collaborate as a member of cross-functional teams
• Ability to effectively recruit, engage and support stakeholders in workgroups
• Ability to be flexible, open, and responsive to potential study shifts
• Ability to articulate and communicate the aims of the study, study protocols and intended results verbally and in writing
• Organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent excel skills
• Ability to effectively represent the organization in a variety of circumstances and forums
• Ability to identify opportunities and obstacles and develop effective, creative solutions
• Sensitivity to cultural, religious, ethnic, disability, and gender issues
• Ability to balance competing priorities and make independent judgments and decisions
• Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity
• Knowledge of personal computer applications and equipment
• A COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within the allotted time frame
