Position Summary:

* Offers financial advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills.

* The liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties.

* Educate patients about payment options and financial assistance.

* Offers Financial Advice and assistance to patients regarding medical bills.

* The Liaison between patients and their insurance companies; often coordinating payments and answering questions from both parties.

* Verifies insurance benefits and registers patients using HMS software.

* Knowledge of Behavioral Health carve out insurance and prior authorization/coordination of benefits.

* Bilingual (Spanish) required.

* Monday thru Friday Day Schedule.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Experience: Six (6) months previous hospital registration, billing and collections, financial counseling, and/or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of medical insurance (Medicare, HMOs, PPOs, commercial), EMTALA regulations, hospital billing and collection process.
