Overview
Ambulator Patient Care Assistant
- Evaluates patient's ambulation status
- Focuses on ambulating patients to prevent post op complications
- Communicates with multidisciplinary team on patient's needs for physical therapy or occupational therapy based off ambulation status
- Assist Physical therapy and Occupational therapy to get patients out of bed
- Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm. No weekends/Holidays
Responsibilities
The Patient Care Assistant is responsible for providing nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Incumbents perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures in a manner conducive to the safety and comfort of the patient.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- No Experience
- BLS Certification
- If hired for the Transitional Sub-Acute Unit (TSU) at Reading Health Rehabilitation Hospital (RHRH), PA Nurse Aide Certification
- Excellent Communications Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
