Job Title: Lab Specialist - MLT

Duties & Responsibilities: A Pathologist Assistant (PA) works closely with pathologists to perform a variety of tasks related to the examination, analysis, and diagnosis of surgical specimens and autopsy tissues. They work in hospital pathology labs, academic medical centers, research institutions, and forensic pathology facilities, contributing to the accurate and timely diagnosis of diseases and conditions through histological and pathological examination.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master degree in Pathologist Assistant-will accept Bachelors degree if they are NYS certified
• 1 year pathology experience-Grossing experience needed
• NYS license
• High level of problem solving ability
• strong ability to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources to find solutions to very complex problems
• Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results
• May be required to lift up to 50lbs
• 13 or 26 week
• M-F (8:30a-5pm)
• No weekends
• no on call
