Adams & Martin Group is currently seeking a skilled and motivated patent prosecution associate to support a growing patent practice in the metro area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent law a with experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with leading inventors and innovators, and contribute to the success of our clients in protecting their intellectual property rights. This client offers a full remote work environment.

Responsibilities:
Draft and prosecute patent applications in various technical fields, including software, electronics, biotechnology, and mechanical engineeringConduct prior art searches and analyze patentability and freedom-to-operate issuesCollaborate with inventors, technical experts, and clients to develop and implement patent prosecution strategiesCommunicate with patent examiners to address office actions and secure the issuance of patentsAssist with patent portfolio management, including patent maintenance, enforcement, and licensingStay current on developments in patent law and technology trends relevant to our clients' industriesQualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the state bar and in good standingBachelor's or advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, biology) preferred2+ years of experience practicing patent law, with a focus on patent prosecutionRegistered to practice before the USPTOStrong analytical, writing, and communication skillsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
