Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES

Required
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University upon date of hire.
SKILLS

Required
  • Ability to project a positive, professional image of both the individual and the institution.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to proficiently use Windows-based programs.

Working Conditions / Demands

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. Requires ability to move items weighing up to 25 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, crawl, clean, carry, pull, reach, twist, write, squat, sit, stand for not less than a 1-hour duration. Talking, hearing, handling (holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand or hands), typing, walking, and seeing. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Equipment utilized: Personal computers, fire extinguishers, testing devices, hand held radios, emergency vehicles.

On the job training will be provided.

Work Location

Indianapolis, Indiana

Advertised Salary

$15.00 per hour.

Work Hours

Flexible work hours Monday - Friday.

Estimated 16-20 hours weekly.

Hours are dependent on Loss Control Manager's discretion.
