Description:
Our client is seeking a Paint Shop Production Supervisor to lead a talented team of 15 finish/paint personnel in the creation of high-quality trailers for our global customers. As a key player in our production process, you will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to our quality policies, standards, and procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and highly productive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and guide a team of 15 finish/paint personnel, overseeing scheduling adherence, policy and procedure administration, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Provide leadership and training to foster efficiency and uphold the highest standards of quality in the Paint Shop.
  • Implement effective workflow management, planning, and mechanical expertise to drive departmental success.
  • Analyze production processes, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the team operates in a safe and productive manner.
  • Manage troubleshooting activities, systematically resolving problems, coordinating resources, and communicating progress to appropriate management, with a primary focus on meeting customer needs.
  • Review the daily production log, ensuring strict adherence to the production schedule and meeting production targets.
  • Effectively communicate to motivate and maintain high personnel performance levels through active listening, effective meeting skills, appraisals, progressive discipline, and quality practices.
  • Review and approve employee time cards and schedules, actively managing overtime.
  • Initiate equipment improvements as needed and actively participate in capital and continuous improvement projects.
  • Requisition departmental supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in paint shop operations.
  • Strong background in finish/paint processes, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
  • Experience in manufacturing, particularly in the automotive/trailer industry preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
