Job Description:

This position is responsible for operating and/or maintaining product flow from the bagger machine to the palletizing robot while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and start up and shut procedures of automated case packing machine
• Keep up with product flow using web based software and maintain production flow from bagger to palletizing robot
• Identify and correct bad boxes
• Maintain constant communication between bagger operator, supervisor, and palletizing robot operator
• Communicate effectively with box erector attendant and clear box jams in drop shoot
• Efficiently and safely perform change overs as needed for product changes
• Maintain Tyson Labeling System: download product specs, replace label stock, clear jams as necessary.

• Operator Care-Basic lubrication, inspection adjustments, repairs, cleaning (CLAIR LEAN Manufacturing- Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving
• 5S program Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly work space
• Physical lifting/moving, bending to stock material from inventory location to robotic equipment (Min 50 LBS)
• Perform perfect packaging checks
• Safely and efficiently resolve jam ups and equipment malfunctions
• Identify material quality defects and take appropriate action
• Weigh rework using a floor scale and Human Machine Interface (HMI) workstation
• Operate handheld digital scanner
• Assist in manual palletizing as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
• Walking, bending, standing and some lifting
• Communicate with various departments on a regular basis
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Requires basic PC skills to include reading/sending emails
• Work safely and follow all Tyson safety policies

Operator must be willing/able to perform any other task assigned by management

Rehire Criteria:

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
