SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions is currently seeking a highly qualified Operations Manager for overseeing and managing multiple security contracts for corporate subsidiaries within an assigned area of the East Coast region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, developing, and implementing security policies and procedures, and managing a team of security professionals.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee the management of the workforce and assist in the liaison with the Government.
  • Implement classified orders or special instructions from the CO or COR concerning the operation, protection, and security of assigned areas.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security professionals, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend security enhancements to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into business processes.
  • Manage relationships with external security vendors, service providers and government officials.
  • Monitor and analyze security incidents, investigate breaches, and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to continually enhance security strategies.
  • Conduct regular security drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of the security teams.
  • Must be available 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications (applies to both this section and KSAO's)
  • Associate's degree from an accredited university and 5 years' experience in the military, law enforcement, or commercial guard force with a minimum of three years of proven experience in leadership roles is required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for the education.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to write basic reports, produce Standard Operating Procedures, and emails.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to receive and maintain a Public Trust Clearance or higher.
  • United States citizen OR Lawful Resident who is a current member of OR has an honorable discharge from the US Armed Forces.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Ability to identify issues/problems and provide solutions.
Preferred
  • Experience overseeing large-scale operations with multiple functions including administrative staff and functional teams.
  • Ability to select and build teams to achieve exceptional performance and reviews.
  • Experience interacting with Senior level government agencies and corporate officers.
  • A DOD Secret or Top-Secret clearance with the ability to maintain it.
  • United States citizen or alien who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence or employment as evidenced by Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services documentation.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree, or substantial and credible law enforcement, military or business management experience that demonstrates his or her capacity to effectively manage a large-scale security force.

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
