Minimum Position Qualifications    
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for the required education.


Special Conditions    
The department is especially interested in candidates with a background in operations/production for a performing arts organization or venue.
Work Schedule    
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Must have the ability to work flexible hours as needed, including some evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions

Positions Supervised    
This position supervises operational support staff (student workers).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities    
Ability to multi-task and make operational decisions under pressure.

Professional experience working in live event production, crew, or production management.

Basic knowledge and understanding of live production, lighting, audio, musical instruments, and other musical equipment.

Ability to understand, plan and implement production needs and technical riders with detail and precision.

Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team in a complex, changing environment.

Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Ability to effectively manage, train and lead a team of professional staff and student employees.

Additional Position Information    
Job Duties
Duties & Responsibilities    
Oversee and facilitate all aspects of SoM events, concert productions, and internal/external reservations including supervising all operations-based FTE staff.
    
Serve as the primary point of contact for SoM events and other events as assigned.
    
Communicate with visiting entities such as vendors, community partners, guest artists, and officials for assigned events and operation needs.
    
Work closely with various departments to ensure operations run efficiently including serving as the primary point of contact for procurement of goods and services, maintaining rental agreements, organizing bids for new equipment, and coordinating repairs, shipments, and purchases.
    
Secure equipment, transportation, spaces, and instruments as necessary for all ensemble operation needs.
    
Oversee ticket operations and logistics including coordinating box office staffing.
